well! The origin of Noob comes from Newbie.
Then where will Newbie comes from?
Yea! The word newbie is a variant of 'new boy' actually , from British Public School and Military Slang.
So in internet usage the newbie has been shorten into Newb (known as 'Noob' for now)
Noob has been abused on online gaming and internet activity nowadays which brings some negative meaning.
But we must follow the original meaning. Noob=Newbie. Dun say so much.
